The so-called urban development has served as a great spectacle and entertainment for human beings given the progress that it represents for the standards of urban growth and social development. It is undeniable that the imposing buildings, bridges, roads, and other elements that are part of urban development generate great admiration and attention to the perception of the human eye. However, the most affected by this phenomenon are always the animal and plant species. Animal species are forced to migrate and seek refuge in other lands, sometimes lacking water and food, and so they must return to the city in search of food or water that allows them to survive. There are still small spaces that have been prepared in order to protect a small number of animals, thus allowing the species to survive. This photo was taken near the city centre of Perth, Australia where this small park houses a not very high number of animals that arrive every day in search of food. This bird (egret) is in a fishing routine in the small lake that encloses the park in the city.
